Who we are
Zagreb Art Kolektiv (ZARK) is a not-for-profit organization focused on utilizing emerging technologies, particularly those related to mobile internet, as a means of uniting artists, educators, IT specialists and business professionals for cultural, education and community outreach purposes.
Our mission
– Find new sources of artistic inspiration and identify opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation (among artists, scientists, business and other professionals) in order to increase the intellectual capital of Croatia.
– To help talented artists to make the best use of the possibilities of new technology in their work and its promotion.
– Promote multiculturalism and cooperation.
– The long-term goal is to identify the best ways to connect art and industries, such as marketing, tourism, entrepreneurship, communications, and to find innovative ways to use modern technology.
In giving a tangible form to the abstract ideas, emotions, dreams, and desires of their respective communities, artists (often unwittingly) wield a surprising amount of power.
Our commitment
Being in a position to define and shape the public consciousness is a privilege that should come with a certain sense of obligation. It is not enough to adhere to principles that help society, such as honesty, inclusiveness and emphasizing our commonalities to strengthen the ties that bind the world at large. Artists must also shoulder the responsibility to use their power in service of their communities.
